The 5th Annual Camp Springs Herbst Tour is now in the record books. Thanks to all who took the time to visit and make the day a success. Do you have a comment or photo you'd like to share from the day? If so, please send them to us at hostmaster@campsprings.com. One visitor sent the following e-mail: I can't begin to tell you how much my family enjoyed the 2011 Herbst Tour! Both my children and four grandchildren, my husband and I enjoyed a perfect day. We started at the Oakland Methodist Church where we enjoyed a picnic lunch. They offered us delicious soup, dessert and tons of hospitality. We loved petting the miniature cows at Catalpa Farm. The children loved the playhouse and the adults were impressed with the movable chicken coop that they'd constructed. The children enjoyed a nice long horse ride with the UC Equestrian team at Saddle Lake Equestrian Center. What a great facility and such nice students to help! From there we went to the kids favorite stop, Little Rock Farm . They got to use antique machinery to take the corn off the cob and then mill it into corn meal. They loved selecting a pumpkin and especially enjoyed the maze that was set up for them using hay bales and tarps. I know they ran through it at least five times! Our last stop was the Stonebrook Winery. Each adult sampled a glass of their wine. I enjoyed their blackberry wine. All in all it was beautiful weather and tons of varied activities for the whole family. My only regret is that this is the fifth year for the tour and only our family's first! Thank you, thank you to each of the families who provided a day of relaxation and wholesome entertainment for the whole family. Terrie Neufarth Ft. Thomas, KY
